On April 10, we presented on residential scale renewable energy at the Engineers without Borders seminar, which is a live forum for engineers to share their knowledge and experience.  In the IMPLICATIONS OF RESIDENTIAL RENEWABLE ENERGY presentation, I covered three questions:

1. What are the benefits to society as a whole for increased adoption of residential scale renewable energy by individual home owners? 
2. What are the benefit to individual home owners?
3. What are the obstacles preventing individual home owners from adopting renewable energy applications at their homes?

Sam gave an in-depth explanation of the state of various renewable energy technologies, including SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC, SOLAR HOT WATER, WIND, and GEOTHERMAL.  He also introduced the RENEWABLE ENERGY CALCULATOR found on this website to help consumers understand the ECONOMICS associated with these technologies.
