On December 6, 2007, the House of Representatives passed an Energy Bill that included significant support for the alternative energy industry.  On December 7th, the Senate failed to stop a filibuster, or end debate.  Sixty votes were needed to prevail, and the vote count was 53 to 42. Reports suggest that Senate leaders may bring a revised version of this bill to the floor that could be void of support for alternative energies. 

It is vital that we support the development of alternative and renewable energy resources just as we have subsidized the petroleum energy industry for decades.  Please contact your Senators to ensure that they retain support for alternative energies in the revised Energy Bill.  Use the links below to make your opinion count.
